POINT PARK U ADVANCED STUDENT PRODUCTIONS
Point Park University Cinema Dept advanced student productions are holding an open casting call for all age-ranges and types for eight short films that will be produced this fall, all shot on HD. Low pay is available for some roles. Meals, transportation and a copy of the finished product will be provided

Casting for Indie Black Comedy
A independent film shooting in Pittsburgh this August is looking to cast some principle roles. Synopsis: After cannibalizing his friends to survive a mountainside plane crash, TRAVIS finds himself a national phenomenon. But when his fame gets him involved with a secret group of the Pittsburgh elite, the feast has only just begun, and he must find a way to make the killing (and eating) stop. Short Film Seeking Actors, Performers, and Talented Individuals of All Ages
"Man of Steel" is a senior thesis film generated through Point Park University. Set in a declining Rust Belt town in the early 1980’s, Man of Steel delicately balances comedy and drama to tell the tale of one Steelworker’s dilemma after his mill closes its gates for good.
This is a powerful, inspiring story with its roots in Pittsburgh culture and history. The United States Steelworkers Union has heard about this script and in return, is sponsoring the project, as well as, other alliance groups and organizations in the area. "Man of Steel" will be shot in High-Definition and submitted to various film festivals upon completion. Compensation: Meals and Copy of Finished Production. Monetary Compensation: TBD at audition. Our production dates are the following September 3,4,5 and September 10,11,12.
The principle roles will need to be available for multiple shoot days. However other roles are one day shoots. Please contact Producer, Joshua Hedglin at jahedgl@pointpark.edu to schedule an audition and to read the script.

RUSSELL – Male, age 45-55 - Protagonist. Physically well built and confident.
EMMA – Female, age 40-50 - Russell’s wife
JIMMY – Male, age 45-55 - Russell’s best pal and childhood friend.
BEN – Male, age 10-12 - Russell and Emma’s son
*These roles require availability for multiple days of shooting.

Local production company looking for six actors for upcoming music video shooting on August 14th and 15th. Two males, late teens to mid twenties, can pull off metal and or punk look. One large male, any age, to play a machete welding murder. Three females, late teens to mid twenties, who can also pull off metal and or punk look.
