Cinematographer/Videographer Needed

Penn State Public Broadcasting is seeking an experienced Videographer/Editor to join our growing creative group producing broadcast and non-broadcast projects.  We shoot in XDCAM-HD, DVC-Pro and edit in Final Cut Pro, and typically incorporate documentary techniques in the creative approach.  You will work as part of a team, with a Producer and/or Director on design, lighting, camera, and editing, to produce projects ranging from long-form, national and local broadcast programs to short-form informational and promotional pieces.  Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in film or equivalent knowledge, plus one year of work-related experience.  Demonstrated graphic design sensibility, After Effects and Photoshop experience are pluses.  You should possess a deep appreciation of diverse audiences.  This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

Seeking Crew for Local TV Show

A local production company, Forgotten Pictures, is in late stages of pre-production for a TV show entitled "The Zombies" that will air on Pittsburgh's WBGN-TV this spring.  They are shooting 13 half hour episodes that will air for 13 weeks.  Production begins in late August, and will continue through the end of December. They are still looking to fill some crew positions. If interested in applying, please email your resume to: forgottenpictures@hotmail.com.


Blue Fire Productions - Now Accepting Resumes

Blue Fire Productions is in the early stages of putting together a film team for their first horror feature film.  They have successfully raised the $30K budget and plan to begin filming the first two weeks of August. They are currently accepting applications for production interns, and lighting and sound professionals. Please contact bluefireproductions@live.com for further information and to submit a resume.


The Anchor - Now Accepting Resumes

Motionart Films is currently in pre-production on the feature film, The Anchor.  Additional filming locations are Malta, Alexandria, Greece and Italy.  At present, they are particularly interested in set builders with experience in ancient sets/extensions (aging, etc.), though they will gladly accept resumes from all crew, interns, and potential cast.

THOUSAND DOLLAR MOVIE PROJECT

Leefilms of Pittsburgh is seeking short subject screenplays to be produced for budgets up to $1000.00.  Scripts can be narrative or documentary and must have minimal locations, costumes and props and should be able to be shot in no more than 2 weekends.  Leefilms will select the project to be developed.  Projects will be ongoing.

 

The mission of the THOUSAND DOLLAR MOVIE project is as follows:  To promote the work of screenwriters, directors, editors, cinematographers and actors.  To make excellent short subjects, worthy of distribution and exhibition.  To have members of the film community collaborate for the good of all and to strengthen the Pittsburgh film community.  To entertain, to inspire, to impact, to educate, to enlighten, to create and to have fun.
