HEALTHCARE ASSISTANCE RESOURCES

- Apply for benefits through Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services (PA DHS). Assistance programs offered include healthcare coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Program), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Cash Assistance, Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, and more.

- Pennie, offered through the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange Authority, allows Pennsylvanians to purchase insurance during their open enrollment period or a qualifying life event. If you have lost your insurance coverage, you qualify to purchase insurance through Pennie outside of the open enrollment period. 9 out of 10 Pennie customers qualify for financial savings. If you are having difficulties with the application process, you can get help from a certified assister or insurance broker.
FOOD ASSISTANCE

- The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Pennsylvanians buy food. People in eligible low-income households can obtain more nutritious diets with SNAP increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets.
