CAN THE PITTSBURGH FILM OFFICE HELP FUND MY PROJECT OR PUBLISH MY SCRIPT?
The Pittsburgh Film Office (PFO) is an economic development office charged with marketing Southwestern PA to the Film and Television Industry. The PFO is the single point of contact assisting film and television productions with the process of working in the region.
The Pittsburgh Film Office assists projects that are green-lit, fully funded, and ready to proceed to the production phase that are seeking out crew, vendors, locations, and all information pertaining to filming in the region.
The Pittsburgh Film Office regularly receives inquiries from projects that are in the development phase; requiring funding or contact information for decision makers in the industry.
Unfortunately, these queries are outside of the Pittsburgh Film Office’s mission and scope of operations.
The Pittsburgh Film Office does not assist with:
- Soliciting buyers for a script or completed project
- Securing funds from grants or investors for a film production
- Pitching a script or completed project to a studio, network, or streaming service
The PFO has found that the following resources that may be helpful for all inquiries related to marketing and developing film projects:
