The feature film “You Are My Friend” will begin shooting in Pittsburgh this fall, and the TriStar Pictures production seeks a “Stand In #2” for work beginning Aug. 22.
Movie Casting Pittsburgh announced Tuesday that a male Caucasian with brown hair, age between 30-40 and standing between 5-feet-9 and 5-feet-11 will be needed.
We’re just spitballing here, but that sounds like a camera test stand-in for Matthew Rhys, who portrays journalist Tom Junod. Or maybe it’s just for X the Owl.
“You Are My Friend” is the story of an unlikely friendship between Mr. Junod, a journalist, and Pittsburgh’s own beloved Fred Rogers.
Tom Hanks will play Mr. Rogers.
Movie Casting Pittsburgh seeks serious candidates willing to work long hours (up to 10-12 hours a day) and will be available Aug. 22 as well as Sept. 10-14, Sept. 17-21, Sept. 24-28, Oct. 1-2, 4-5, 9, 11-12, 15-20.
Email with “STAND IN #2” in subject line to [email protected]. In the text of the email, include name, age, height, weight, wardrobe sizes, phone number and a current clear photograph.
